Give Books, Support Literacy
30th July,2012

The children residing at Baby Life Home, a centre that supports children with HIV are deprived of education. The only thing that the children have received there is shelter and food. In this project, firstly books including second hand books were collected from various individuals, organizations and schools and then distributed to the children residing there. The children were in great need of text books from class 1 to 5 since they belong to the age group of 5-12 years and have low economic status.

Realizing the fact and after need assessment, Rotaract club of Kathmandu Mid-Town took an initiative to collect books and other stationery and was able to collect various stationery materials from various sources. All the materials were collected till 29th July, 2012 and finally handed over to the children at Baby Life home on 30th July, 2012.

Alexandria Cosmopolitan Rotaract club collected 24 books and handed over to kids at Karmouz Shelter on 30th July, 2012.
